Sally lightfoot crab The Sally lightfoot crab, Grapsus grapsus, is very common on the Galapagos beaches. The young are black and well-camoflaged against the rocks. The adults are bright red and yellow, like this one. All are very skittish and run away as you start to get close to them. In this respect, they are very different from most of the other animals in the Galapagos. |
